Tuesday, October 11, 2022 –A new mobile money transfer platform PostaPay has been launched in Kenya through the Postal Corporation of Kenya PCK.
PCK this week signed an official partnership agreement deed with Viewtech; a renowned company which founded SasaPay platform.
In the arrangement seen by Pesatoday.com, Viewtech is required to provide a payment wallet dubbed Wallet as a Service (WaaS) to Posta Kenya.
This wallet, similar to M-Pesa service by Safaricom, will therefore enable quick money movement which will include disbursements, collections and sending of money among individuals.
The plan is to allow the transferred monies to be instantly available at any Postal office for collection by the receiving party.
“Under the agreement, Posta will be an agent of Viewtech Ltd, offering deposit, withdrawal, registration and verification services on PostaPay at a commission,” announced CEO Dan Kagwe.
Kagwe who is also the General of Postal Corporation of Kenya added that the new and revamped PostaPay App will now be available on Google Play Store as Posta Kenya jostles to compete in the emerging technology world.
He revealed these details during the signing of their deal on 7th October, 2022 in Nairobi.
