Wednesday, November 16, 2022 –President William Ruto has today hosted American tech giant Bill Gates at Statehouse Kenya.
Making this confirmation on Wednesday November 16 afternoon, the head of State lauded the philanthropist for his good gesture of keeping strong ties with Kenyan soil.
President Ruto mentioned that their discussion focused on Universal Healthcare UHC program for citizens of this nation.
He added that the Microsoft company owner would play a major role in supporting related government programs especially through their global Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
“We will continue to collaborate towards the realisation of food security and universal health coverage in our country.
“We appreciate the support the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation continues to extend to Kenya in realising our development goals, especially in the areas of healthcare, agriculture and ICT sectors,” Ruto stated.
Ruto was accompanied by a section of his Cabinet members among them Treasury Cabinet Secretary Njuguna Ndung’u, Health CS Susan Nakhumicha, and Agriculture’s Mithika Linturi.
Gates, on the other hand, was only accompanied by a lean team from his Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
Billionaire Gates touched down in the country yesterday Tuesday November 16 and held his first meeting with Makueni Governor Mutula Kilonzo Junior.
