President Uhuru Kenyatta’s long time aide Edward Saruni Legei is reportedly dead.
Reports doing round on social media indicate that the late Legei succumbed to Covid-19 related complications at a Nairobi facility on Tuesday November 17th.
Reporting on the same, Citizen Digital noted that the late Legei had been admitted at Nairobi Hospital since Friday evening after he developed chest and breathing challenges.
“He developed chest complications on Friday and he drove himself to the hospital all the way from Kiserian. Upon admission he tested positive. Yesterday (Monday), we got the report he is no more,” a source told Citizen Digital on Tuesday.
The diseased who is a four time winner of the Kenya Open Bisley Championship was attached to the prestigious presidential Escort Unit.
“He was like a limb to me and a great personal friend who held Laikipia and Laikipia North matters at his heart. He was Laikipian Warrior and the Four times winner of the Kenya Open Fullbore Bisley Championships,” Laikipia Woman Rep Cate Waruguru mourned.
She disclosed that they will be meeting in support of the bereaved family all through the week.
His death is coming at a time Matungu Constituency had also lost their Member of Parliament Justus Murunga Makokha whose body is still lying in the morgue.
