Thursday, March 16, 2023 –Nairobi’s Radio Maisha popular DJ Immo has left after seven years and joined the newly-established radio station – Radio 47.

He made this update on his Immo’s Instagram page on Wednesday March 15, where he expressed his gratitude for the time spent at Radio Maisha.

Immo is also excited moving into another office after landing an opportunity with Radio 47 that seems to be the new kid on the bloc.

“Seven years seems like yesterday…Damn! It’s been real…I am taking with me special memories of nothing but good times….for now, Adios Radio Maisha,” he wrote.

Immo was a good combination with Clemmo and Mwende Macharia in their afternoon youthful entertainment show and, sometimes, showed up on the morning and drive shows.

Moreover, DJs Immo worked with DJ 2one2, DJ Ian, and DJ Young, all of whom are still under the Standard Media Group-owned station but contemplating quitting too.

Homenews.co.ke has just learnt that, at Radio 47, Immo will work alongside Manucho Manucho, who hosts the afternoon show. Besides radio, Immo will also work on Tv47, which is a sister station to Radio 47.

The newly-launched Tv 47 has been raiding the struggling Radio Maisha with now the best minds already left and joined it.

Besides presenters, the radio station has also poached two senior editors from Radio Maisha, Lynda Oriaso and Geoffrey Mung’ou who are good at preparing news and reporters across the country.
