Raila and Ruto Agree One Thing on the Late Magoha

Wednesday, January 25, 2023 – Both Opposition leader Raila Odinga and President William Ruto have agreed on the past life of the late Prof George Magoha.

Passing their separate messages of condolences to the bereaved family on Tuesday January 24 following the news of the death of the former Education Cabinet Secretary, Raila and Ruto noted that Magoha was dedicated and distinguished leader who the country will miss.

In the statement delivered by Azimio la Umoja leader, Magoha was described as a transformational and illustrious scholar.

“I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Prof. George Magoha, a transformational leader, illustrious scholar, dedicated public servant, and distinguished medical doctor who left an indelible mark on our country’s education system,” Raila’s message read.

On his part, President William Ruto, who is in France for an official tour, mourned the late professor as a gifted and unique servant of the people.

“I join Kenyans and people from other parts of the world in mourning the passing of Prof. Magoha. I also send condolences to his family and pray that Almighty God grants them divine comfort and grace in this moment of grief.

“We have lost a gifted, unique, distinguished and great servant of Kenya,” Ruto added.

The late Prof Magoha died on Tuesday January 24 after suffering a severe Cardiac arrest. His body would then be taken to Lee Funeral morgue where it is lying waiting to be buried.
