Wednesday, June 7, 2023 -Opposition leader Raila Odinga has started preparing his supporters for another round of demonstrations.

Speaking at Chungwa House today Wednesday June 7, Odinga notified the State of his intentions to make another come back after it(the State) remained deaf on the plight of poor tax payers.

Mr. Odinga has told Kenyans to ready themselves for nationwide protests should the government not or show intentions of not lowering the cost of living.

The opposition leader said the current regime has turned a blind eye to urgent issues affecting Kenyans and, instead, continued to exert pressure on her people in the guise of fighting for their future.

“The Kenya Kwanza leadership has refused to listen to the cries of hustlers, mama mboga, boda boda riders, and other Kenyans who can barely afford two meals a day and are insisting on imposing more taxes on the already suffering populace,” he said.

He added that most Kenyans are suffering under ilegal and poor leadership of the current government.

“Kenyans are hurting. They are suffering. They came to power through the backdoor when they were not ready to govern and now want to pour their inefficiency on poor Kenyans,” Odinga also stated.

In relation to the contentious Finance Bill 2023, the Azimio la Umoja boss promised that he and other Azimio principals would provide the public with the way forward on Thursday.

He warned that it was not proper for the William Ruto’s defiant administration to visit problems on the people of Kenya and still expect to be respected by the same people.

Raila was speaking shortly after he had boycotted today’s Wednesday June 7 National Prayer Breakfast held at Safari Park Hotel.
