Raila Hosts Kikuyu Elders Again

Friday, April 30, 2021 -Opposition leader Raila Odinga hosted a delegation of Mt. Kenya leadership at his Karen residence.

In a statement he released just after their afternoon’s meeting, Mr. Odinga said they are planning on how to work together going forward.

The Kikuyu Council of Elders were led by their longtime chairperson Wachira Kiago and a few others who reportedly arrived in the afternoon.

“A conversation about moving our Country forward not on the patchy path of tribal lines that have and continue to occasion annihilation,” Raila divulged.

This is not the first time Odinga and his Kikuyu friends are meeting, about four months ago, he hosted a huge delegation at his Opoda Farm in Bondo rural what was followed by another meeting where Kikuyu elders also hosted their Luo counterparts.

“This is the journey we are embarking on, are you willing to join us as we sit down and talk candidly?” Odinga mentioned.

Among those who paid him a visit at Opoda Farm are Joe Kibe, James Ngethe, Royal Media Services SK Macharia and Dr, Nyamu Ngethe. Also present in all the meetings are Peter Kenneth and Oburu Odinga.
