So far, we have seen Hon. Raila Odinga in meetings with old guards including former Attorney General Amos Wako and former Cabinet Secretary and Jubilee Party Secretary general Raphael Tuju.
We are also told that his Karen home as well as Upper Hill’s Capitol office is filled up with guests, mostly, politicians both failed and elected seeking for his favours.
Mr. Odinga is now an appointing authority and all those who had sunk in past elections are all over him looking for jobs and tenders. He seems as powerful as the president himself.
But even as these failures keep meeting him for jobs, Raila must be warned that it is painful to bring on board old men and women of those days when we have able young men and women who can work for the country.
It is wrong to bring back Ngilu, Tuju and Amos Wako as if those are the only people who can manage the affairs of the country and that, without them, the country could collapse.
I was born and found Ngilu in leadership position, Wako was Moi’s Attorney general for 24 years and Tuju was an MP. All of them just left office days ago. Can’t we have new faces now.
