“I am here with a big team. Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya, former Dagoreti South MP Dennis Waweru and former Speaker Beatrice Elachi. I am also here with the incoming Governor of Nairobi Tim Wanyonyi,” the former Prime Minister stated in Swahili.

Others who supported Wanyonyi’s candidature in the forthcoming Nairobi race are ODM Secretary-General, Edwin Sifuna, and Makadara MP, George Aladwa.

And when he took to the podium, Tim assured the opposition supremo that Nairobi still remains behind him and that they will vote him to man into Statehouse.

He also lauded Raila who he described as the best man who can take over from where Uhuru Kenyatta has left.

The Lawmaker went on to state that the Azimio la Umoja team will win the August election within round one.

But even as Odinga publicly endorsed Wanyonyi, other hopefuls within Azimio seem to be feeling this heat among them, Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI) president Richard Ngatia. Also Nairobi’s incumbent Anne Kananu will has to do her homework well to prove her worth to continue serving the people of Nairobi County.

Last month, Mama Ida Odinga was also on record endorsing Wanyonyi for the Nairobi governor position.
