Monday, July 11, 2022 –Azimio la Umoja’s Raila Odinga still leads Kenya Kwanza’s William Ruto in the latest presidential opinion poll.
Trends and Insights Africa TIFA released new numbers today Monday July 11 and it emerged that Mr. Odinga is at 42 percent while Ruto has gone up with a point to 39 percent.
These numbers indicate that Azimio la Umoja leader, Raila Odinga, remains stuck at 42 percent three weeks in a row while Ruto is closing in on him. For example, in the polls which were published on June 18, Odinga stood at 39 percent as Ruto was at 35 percent.
In the same TIFA findings of today, Roots Party boss Prof George Luchiri Wajackoyah would be voted by 4 percent of voters across the country.
Addressing the country on the figures, TIFA Analyst Tom Wolf said Odinga and Ruto were equally capitalizing on the undecided voters around the country.
“As of now, both Raila and Ruto have gained compared to the last survey because of the decline of those who said they were undecided from 14 to 10 per cent,” Wolf detailed.
He confirmed that Raila had started eating much into William Ruto’s South Rift population (17 per cent) but lost two percent of the support in the Northern region.
Additionally, in Nairobi County, Raila also still beats Ruto hands-down with 58 percent while the DP keep struggling with 28 percent.
