I support opposition boss Raila Amolo Odinga working with President William Ruto rather than working with Rigathi Gachagua.
Firstly, Gachagua used to undermine any Handshake between Raila and Ruto. It now lacks logic for the same man to salivate for a Handshake with Raila. He sounds more of a fraudster in political business.
Secondly, Gachagua has been a man on a mission to run this country down the tribal borders. He likes sitting on the table where he believes he has numbers more than anyone else in the country. Any discussion Raila could have with Gachagua will start on a slate of numbers. Gachagua believes he has numbers more than Raila and Ruto combined.
My advice to Raila is to ignore Gachagua and work with President William Ruto ahead of 2027 elections.
Helping Ruto to run this government is what the country wants. Gachagua, Kalonzo and Martha Karua can run the opposition politics for the time being. In fact, I foresee a situation where they may miss Kalonzo. Kalonzo doesn’t belong to that group of nincompoops.
It goes without saying that, Ruto’s only outstanding legacy, as of now, was to remove Gachagua close to power. Gachagua was poisonous to remain at the top and when the president decided to replace him, some of us were happy. Ruto regained some of our trust.
