Raila Speaks From his Hideout, Says he’s Sick

Friday, July 21, 2023Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya coalition leader Raila Odinga has revealed how a severe flu had forced him to miss the ongoing 3-day protests.

In his phone interview with Citizen Tv on Thursday July 20, the opposition boss claimed that he developed flu and common cold that made it hard for him to lead the three-day protests that started on Wednesday to end today Friday July 21.

He also stated that it was not a must that him or his co-principles – Martha Karua, Kalonzo Musyoka and George Wajackoyah – join the demonstrations.

“This is not about Raila or Karua or Kalonzo. It’s about all Kenyans.

“Whether we are on the streets or not, Kenyans will still go on with the protests,” he noted adding that the demonstrations were being coordinated well across the country through their representatives.

Mr. Odinga also said that President William Ruto is a sly man who promised Kenyans a reduced cost of living but turned his back on them immediately he took charge.

Odinga also promised that today Friday July 20, 2023 makes their protests do or die day.

The Orange Democratic Movement ODM Party leader urged supporters to show up in numbers today to fight for their rights.
