Saturday, April 9, 2022 –Vocal Mt. Kenya legislator Moses Kuria has warned President Uhuru Kenyatta of betrayal should Raila Odinga take power from him.
In his long rant on social media, Kuria noted that Raila who has fought for power for decades, will not allow anybody from Mt Kenya to meddle into his leadership affairs when he is officially sworn into office.
Kuria added that once Odinga is sworn into office, he will destroy and throw away all the pre-election agreements he made with anyone including Uhuru Kenyatta himself.
Raila will reason that he never meddled in Jubilee affairs and therefore he should be given ample time to run his thing alone.
“In the unlikely event Raila becomes President, he will do Uhuru Kenyatta a good one. So Uhuru thinks he will get 40% of government and Kalonzo 30% and Raila is left to share 30% among his ODM base after fighting for 60 years to be President between himself and his father? Hata Baba hapangwingwi,” Kuria wrote on Facebook on Friday.
Kuria’s remarks which are meant to disturb the existing friendship between Uhuru and Odinga may send some amount of fear into Uhuru’s camp as pundits hold it that such utterances are being choreographed by Raila’s opponents to continue selling fear around the Mt Kenya Region.
The MP’s remarks are coming at the time President Uhuru Kenyatta is keeping his promise of supporting Odinga to succeed him from August 9.
