In a honest manner, tycoon Macharia asked those walking with Mr. Odinga to make him understand that Mt. Kenya Region is not an easy place to get votes if tactics and consistency is not applied.

He was speaking this at the Bible Fellowship Church in Kigumo Murang’a County on Sunday August 29 where he hypothetically added that should the elections be held today(Sunday) Odinga will definitely lose to Ruto.

“I’d like to tell (Nominated MP) Maina Kamanda, (Ndaragwa MP) Jeremiah Kioni and others, the way we know how things are on the ground, don’t lie to Raila that the ground is okay. If we were to go and cast votes today, those people who have despised you and the President would win the votes,” SK stated.

Defending his remarks, Macharia said he has a lot of intelligence which he gets by virtue of being a top media owner in Kenya.

He however weighed into the track record of Mr. Odinga saying his working relationship and achievements in the Kibaki era was commendable. He thanked the ODM Party leader for shaking hands with both Kibaki and Uhuru to bring sanity in the country.

He also revealed how they discussed with Kibaki and agreed that he(Macharia) should be a supporter of Odinga all through.

On his part, Odinga who was present discussed the Building Bridges Initiative BBI which he claimed will be back from the recess.

Currently, the Bill is lying idle after the Court of Appeal ruled against it the same way the High Court had done.
