Friday, March 17, 2023 –Nairobi Lawyer allied to Orange Party, Silas Jakakimba, has officially resigned from the role of advising the former premier.
The long-serving Secretariat advisor made his resignation announcement in a lengthy letter dated Friday March 17.
He also extended his resignation as life member of Orange Party after notifying the registrar of political parties, Anne Nderitu, of his willingness to leave ODM. Ms Nderitu, therefore, has to ratify removal of the Lawyer’s name from the ODM Party register.
“This is to inform your office that I have resigned, effective immediately, as (Life) Member of the ODM Party of Kenya, being Membership Number 00230 Kindly effect this decision, by striking out my name from the Party’s Official Membership Register,” Lawyer Jakakimba said.
Jakakimba seized the opportunity to heap praises at Odinga who gave him an opportunity to exercise his leadership skills in ODM Party. His service has taken long of twenty years.
He went ahead to confess that he owes his success to the former premier ,Mr. Raila Odinga.
Recently, the lawyer hinted at falling out with the Odinga’s after he disclosed to the public how Raila’s younger daughter Winnie Odinga had disrespected him despite his many years of loyalty to the family and ODM Party as a whole.
