Tuesday, February 15, 2022 –Raila Odinga’s new campaign song has been released on their Azimio la Umoja YouTube channel.

The well-put-together song done by Luhya seasoned vocalist Emmanuel Musindi features the opposition honcho who flexes his vocals superbly under the able hands of a talented Kawangware-based producer.

By 12PM today Tuesday February 15, the song dubbed Leo ni Leo or Lelo ni Lelo had garnered a whopping 15000 views in just a record 20-minutes of its going live.

The piece saw the producer bring together some of the famous Odinga’s past punchlines and adlibs making it run so smooth and un interrupted alongside Emmanuel Musindi’s soothing vocals.

Raila can be heard saying Inawezekena in uniform intervals as he also adds the words Lelo ni Lelo before quoting the national Anthem’s first stanza.

“Haki iwe ngao na mlinzi, Natukae na udugu, Amani na Uhuru, Raha tupate na ustawi, (Justice be our shield and defender, May we dwell in unity, peace and liberty, plenty be found within our borders)”.

This powerful campaign song is a true rendition of Emmanuel Musindi’s viral song Lelo ni Lelo which means Today is Today a phrase usually used as a rallying call for action.

Our sources informed that the song was recorded at little known FP Record Studio based in the sprawling slums of Kawangware before shooting the video at Karen and Kawangware.

Majimji, born Julius Owino of the famous Gidigidi Majimaji rap duo was the director of the new campaign song.

Majimaji who is part of Odinga’s 2022 secretariat was approached by Mr. Raila to come up with a relatable song that could be used in the campaigns.

Iconic Gidigidi Majimaji rap group are famous for their 2002 revolutionary song they called Unbwogable which brought the 24-year long rule of Moi to a sad end.
