Friday, May 19, 2023 –Politician Rashid Echesa has reacted to his appointment at the Kenya Water Towers Agency Board KWTA.
Taking to his social media pages hours after his appointment, Mr. Echesa thanked the head of State William Ruto for having faith and appointing him to the position.
He added that he is now indebted to the President and, therefore, obliged to deliver his new duties to the people of Kenya.
“Congratulations to me for this next step. Am indebted and beholden to H.E The President Dr. @WilliamsRuto for considering me for this noble appointment as the Chairman of Kenya Water Towers Agency Board KWTA.
“I look forward to working diligently and industrious so as to fulfil KK manifestos to the people of Kenya. Mungu mbel,” Echesa wrote.
President William Ruto, on Friday, May 19, made this appointment through a Gazette Notice dated Friday May 19.
The Notice granted Mr. Echesa a three-year stint at the water agency.
“I, William Samoei Ruto, President of the Republic of Kenya and Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Forces, appoint Rashid Echesa to be the Chairperson of the Kenya Water Towers Agency Board, for a period of three (3) years, with effect from the 19th May 2023,” partly read the notice.
Following the changes, Ruto revoked the appointment of Robert Kariuki who has been serving as chairperson since former President Uhuru Kenyatta appointed him a couple of years ago.
