Wednesday, July 19, 2023 –A youthful alleged police officer wearing full uniform is trending on major socials for recording Tik Tok videos as he ridiculed William Ruto’s government.
In the video clip shared by Gabriel Oguda on Twitter, the police officer in full combat and beret can be seen perusing through anti-government comments on live Tik Tok as he smiled all through.
“Zakayo must go…. Zakayo must go,” he read the comments from fans as he sampled more from across the nation.
Journalist Gabriel Oguda, who shared the clip on his timeline, wondered why the officer was busy on Tik Tok when the country needed his security services.
“Ruto has sent the police on the streets to kill protesters, only for them to open Tiktok to celebrate his downfall. Tears in my eyes,” Oguda commented.
Kenyans would throng the comments section with different reactions some saying police officers in the country were getting tired of their employer.
“That’s the mood within the police force….infact ata wenye wako kazi sahii wanangoja tu payslip iingie, without kureflect payment of the past few maandamano allowances, then they run to their vehicles ati outnumbered,” Gii claimed.
Another user said the police officer recording self had done nothing to warrant his sacking or condemnation from the public.
“Why be harsh on police yet you guys get on social media while at work? They are human after all,” another said.
Others like Nick Kering thought this was quite unprofessional of him to record himself when he serves in the same government.
