Tuesday, June 4, 2024 –Jahmby Koikai, the longtime Kenyan reggae MC and media personality, has died in Nairobi while under medication
Jahmby passed away June 3 at age 37 following complications arising from Endometriosis, a disease she had been battling since she was 13 years old in primary school.
Endometriosis occurs when cells from the lining of the womb (uterus) grow in other areas of your body, causing pain, heavy vaginal bleeding, especially between periods, and problems with fertility.
The entertainer has been on and off hospital bed until the time she breathed her last on Tuesday.
Jahmby, born Mary Njambi Koikai on November 24, 1986, was surrounded by loved ones at the time of her death at the Nairobi Hospital just weeks after launching an urgent plea for urgent blood donation.
