Tuesday, July 13, 2021 -Detectives have un-earthed a dangerous syndicate of senior rogue police officers who have been working in cahoots with fugitive female police officer Carolyne Kangogo.
It has emerged that the senior police-cum-criminal gang has been leaking to Kangogo all vital plans laid to arrest her what has made it hard to trace where she is hiding.
Juja DCIO Richard Mwaura has now detailed how they have already unraveled the gang made up of police officers who have been in constant communication with Corporal Kangogo.
The group is linked to protecting crimes including highway robberies, politicians, drug lords and carjacking activities. One incident is the theft deal that ‘went South’ between Kangogo and the late Peter Ndwiga who is an ex-officer and security expert she allegedly murdered in Juja, Kiambu County.
According to detectives, they already have four people on their crime list who include the police officers. Kangogo was the cleaner in all the crimes they perpetrated. She would quickly be send to the scene to bungle any trace of evidence. She was also a top assassin.
The gang operated its activities around the expansive Rift Valley Region and the neighbouring counties. It has also emerged that as one group wants her punished, the other is busy protecting her.
“Some of the people she has been communicating with are senior officers and dangerous criminals,” Juja DCIO Mwaura reported.
Among several spy tactics she has been applying to evade the police dragnet now the 10th day are – stealth, coverup/disguise and access to funds.
Mwaura has however promised to soon bring to book that complex web of criminals who have been disturbing the peace around towns.
