Wednesday, January 26, 2022 –Gospel Rapper Roy Smith Mwatia alias Rufftone has linked Orange Democratic Movement ODM Party to hooliganism.

Speaking on a Tuesday round table interview on NTV where he was making an appearance alongside Felix Odiwuor aka Jalang’o, Rufftone noted that he couldn’t join the ODM Party because of their history in hooliganism.

Comedian Felix Odiwuor aka Jalang’o.

“I remember in the year 2007, me and my blood brother Daddy Owen differed on parties. He was ODM while I believed in PNU. When we differed in the morning, my brother Daddy Owen and friends picked pangas ready to kill me,” Rufftone disclosed on live Tv.

The two public figures both seeking elective seats in Nairobi – Jalang’o and Rufftone – then picked a quarrel in the studio before James Smart who was interviewing them intervened. Jalang’o wants the Langata seat on ODM Party ticket while Rufftone is vying for Nairobi Senate position on United Democratic Alliance UDA Party.

A visibly Irritated Jalang’o reminded Rufftone not to use ‘heavy words’ like hooliganism in his presence because that was disrespectful.

But Rufftone pressed on saying political competition must be about ideas and not how much one can fight the other.

“Jalang’o you are a new blood in ODM. You need to introduce the idea that people can differ in principle but it does not mean that they have to go to an extend of getting physical,” Rufftone explained.

In a sharp rejoinder, Jalang’o reminded Rufftone that it is on record that Security agencies in the country had warned UDA politicians which Rufftone has since joined against causing problems in the country using their handouts.

Rufftone is a renowned gospel rapper who has been around for long. He also runs Lampstand Records; while Jalang’o is a seasoned comedian-cum-radio presenter.
