Saturday, June 24, 2023 –A photo has emerged on foreign media platforms showing how Wagner forces reportedly shot down Russia’s fighter copter.
War Monitor publication, on Saturday June 24, shared the disturbing photo showing the plane up in flames in an open ground.
Another source indicated that a Russian Il-22M communications aircraft (reportedly RF-75917) was shot down by Wagner’s raging forces on Saturday.
Moreover, when entering the town of Boguchar in the Voronezh region, the Russian Guard shot a car with civilians. A witness said that the guard thought that the Wagner were there, but it turned out that a family from Rostov – a man and driver who died immediately, were using the car. The wife and daughter were seriously injured.
President Vladmir Putin would shortly address the Nation amid intensified clashes and huge smoke eruption in near Moscow Town.
“This is a criminal campaign. It is equivalent to armed mutiny. Russia will defend itself and repel this move. We are fighting for the life and security of our citizens,” he addressed.
It saw Belarussian soldiers, who are supporting Ukraine, call on Belarussian citizens to unite behind what is transpiring with Wagner, so that to liberate Belarus off Russia.
Homenews.co.ke combed through various reliable pages and established that the Russians were reportedly angry and bombing their own oil depots, blowing up their own bridges, and sending their own tanks to Moscow.
A war pundit commented that this split of forces in Russia shows that there is no more a united Russia; but a weakened army.
According to BBC reports, the head of Russia’s Wagner mercenary group had confirmed to have seized “all military facilities” in the Southern Russian city of Rostov-on-Don.
Yevgeny Prigozhin’s announcement provoked fury from President Vladimir Putin who called it “a stab in the back” and pledged to punish those who had “betrayed” him.
But Prigozhin responded saying his aim is “not a military coup but a march for justice” and it comes after a long-running war of words with Russia’s military chiefs.
