Tuesday, September 17, 2024 –Dr. Mukhisa Kituyi has accused the current administration of hiding behind Adani Group to grab public facilities.
Kituyi who was addressing in a press briefing held today in Nairobi pointed out how the infamous Adani businessmen had been mentioned in various scandalous activities in South Africa.
The former UN diplomat said, the Indian group of businessmen is a cartel working with governments including the Kenyan government to buy out important State facilities.
“This is a known cartel working with people inside government to loot dry Kenya’s important infrastructure and facilities in the guise of investment,” he noted.
He, therefore, warned Ruto against having too much appetite for money than his predecessors who also looted the country but not at such a very high rate.
Present in the press briefing were politicians and party leaders Lawyer Ekuru Aukot, Martha Karua among many others.
They were speaking at the time Energy Cabinet Secretary Opiyo Wandayi confirmed that Adani is also interested in the energy sector.
According to Wandayi, government partnership with the Indian team will bring to an end the power blackouts always experienced around the country.
Karua seized the opportunity to blast President Ruto whom he described as a dangerous leader for the country to live under.
“Kenyans are not safe in the hands of the Ruto regime. Leadership is not an emblem of authority but mantle of service. Who among those in power truly serves us?” she announced.
Also present was Prof. Kivutha Kuibwana, Lawyer Asha Bashir and Youth leader John Kamau.
