Tuesday, June 27, 2023 –President William Samoei Ruto has continued sustaining an onslaught on the Western countries over ballooning debts in Africa.

Addressing an international summit from Nairobi on Tuesday June 27, unshaken Ruto explained that Africa was deliberately set up to remain in debts for life.

“Our building debt in not by default. We were set up by the system to be in debts forever” Ruto stated.

“If you are paying eight times interest than the person next door, then chances of you settling that debt are close to none,” he stated.

Dr. Ruto who was speaking on the international stage, firmly accused the West and foreign lenders of plunging poor countries into life time debts.

Ruto’s speech comes barely a week after addressing another international meeting in Paris France where, through his electrifying speech, asked African nations to think about becoming independent in the near future.

Of recent, the new president of Kenya has been pushing a campaign that he thinks can turn around Africa as a self-sufficient continent.

He called upon stakeholders to start thinking of having a single financial institution that can also negotiate with lenders like the International Monetary Fund IMF and the World Bank on equal terms.
