Saturday, March 27, 2021 -Deputy President William Ruto risks losing a large number of supporters especially MPs if he joins up with ODM’s Raila Odinga. He has been warned.
News reaching Homenews desk indicted that Ruto-allied-politicians don’t want an alliance between DP and the former Premier whom they are accusing of destruction.
According to Soy legislator Caleb Kositany, shall Raila come into their camp, the 2022 strategy will be heavily affected and definitely complicate the DP’s rising star.
“Trust me, if we try to approach Raila today in the 2022 calculation we will lose our supporters in Mt. Kenya,” he noted.
Kositany further stated that the bad blood between Uhuru and his people from Mt. Kenya was worsened by Mr. Odinga who is not a wanted man in the region.
His sentiments were quickly backed by MP Daniel Rono of Keiyo South same to their Belgut counterpart Nelson Koech. Koech who appeared somewhat welcoming noted that, anyway, shall Odinga finally join them, he must do so on one condition of backing the DP.
But among those who feel that the Raila-Ruto duo would make the best bet for 2022 is Emurua Dikir MP Johanna Ng’eno who said, just like 2007, Raila and Ruto can pull a shocker against any competitor.
“If President Kenyatta can work with the opposition leader, then we cannot rule out Ruto working with Raila,” he said.
Ruto on his part, has been on record saying nothing can stop him from merging with likeminded individuals ahead of the 2022 race.
He spoke this while on his Citizen tv Interview before he went for Jalang’o Youtube show where he repeated the same answer.
