Friday, December 15, 2023 -President William Ruto has responded to opposition leader Raila Odinga on job opportunities.
Speaking in Rift Valley on Thursday, December 14, President Ruto said his promise to create job opportunities for jobless graduates and non-graduates still holds.
He clarified that his campaign pledges did not just mean opportunities in Kenya but also in foreign nations.
He added that Odinga’s accusations that jobs should be created internally is a misleading notion to the job seeking youth.
“I recently heard the opposition leader tell me that looking for foreign jobs should not be my job. Where does he think I can get millions of opportunities for you?” Ruto posed.
Last week, Mr Odinga took a swipe at the Kenya Kwanza administration for failing to offer local solutions for jobless youth.
He tasked Ruto’s administration to create local jobs for graduates instead of speaking about foreign jobs and trips.
