Saturday, February 17, 2024 -President William Ruto has today, Saturday, February 17, landed a top AU role.
The Kenyan head of State was appointed as African Union’s Champion for Institutional Reform.
He will succeed his Rwandese counterpart, Paul Kagame, who is leaving after a seven-year service at the organisation.
In his job description, Dr. Ruto will oversee political leadership as well as completing the comprehensive Institutional Reform initiative.
