Ruto Carries out Major Changes at the KRA

Thursday, February 23, 2023 -The Kenya Revenue Authority KRA board has today replaced Commissioner General Githii Mburu with Advocate Rispah Simiyu.
An official statement from the board issued on Thursday February 23 indicated that Mr. Mburu had stepped down from the position “to pursue personal goals”.

Rispah Simiyu will be the Acting KRA Commissioner General with effect from February 23, 2023 until the position is substantively and competitively occupied.

“The Board appreciates Mr Mburu for the service he has rendered to KRA and the Republic of Kenya and wishes him very well in his future endeavours,” said KRA statement.

At the same time, the board has introduced other key changes to make tight revenue mobilization agenda and synergies in top management.

KRA is one of the key State offices that government heavily relies on for income and sustainability.
