Ruto could use Uhuru’s recklessness to claim 2022 victory

Thursday, February 11, 2021 -President Uhuru Kenyatta’s public outburst about how he will be handling his succession was not an appropriate one and many now think it was simply reckless.

By Uhuru Kenyatta being the president does not necessarily mandate him to dictate to Kenyans who will be what in 2022 and just like the former US President Barrack Obama lost while trying to impose Americans on Hillary Clinton, Uhuru could face the same humiliation.

President Uhuru Kenyatta addressing recently.

The President must be told that Mr. Obama was a better leader for Americans but voters still showed him the ‘middle finger’ and rejected his proposal.

“My aim is to ensure that those who will assume office after me will not be thieves who will oppress Kenyans. I will only leave the office to someone Kenyans can trust and who will unite them,” said Uhuru while addressing Nairobi residents on Wednesday.

DP William Ruto during the funeral service of Mama Mary Wambui, mother to Thika Town MP Patrick Wainaina, at St. Francis Girls High School Grounds, Gatundu North in Kiambu County.

Though Mr. Kenyatta made this remark, keen political pundits will tell you that this could soon backfire into his own face. Some one would ask what if Ruto genuinely loses the next general elections but hangs on this(Uhuru’s statement) to claim victory by saying the State machinery was rigging him out because they promised never to hand over power to him.

It will be very easy for Ruto to mount a protest using this reckless statement from the head of State and some Kenyans, as usual, would buy this lie the same way ignorant Americans bought the conspiracy theories peddled by their Trump.
