Friday, April 21, 2023 –President William Ruto reportedly pulled down Statehouse restaurant immediately after capturing power.
In a new revelation of Thursday April 20, Nairobi Lawyer Donald Kipkorir said that his recent visit at the Statehouse was a completely new experience.
Speaking about his reunion with the head of State and what conversation he held during a one-on-one meeting with Ruto at the Statehouse, Korir recounted asking Ruto for a drink only for the president to tell him the bar was destroyed a few months ago.
“We reminisced over our friendship that goes back to 1992. I asked for a glass of wine & he told me he pulled down the bar that was there.
“I was given delicious short ribs without wine! It was a humbling experience meeting the President and repairing our friendship,” Kipkorir noted.
Asked how he got himself in the Statehouse despite having been an Azimio diehard, he clarified that Ruto had invited him there.
The President assured his guest that he is committed to turning around the economy of this country through hard work and international net-works.
“President William Ruto also informed me of his vision to transform the country in line with the Asian Tigers and that he would strengthen our bilateral relations with them.
“I implored him to also emulate Thailand 5.0 Economic Plan,” the lawyer added.
Lawyer Korir revealed how, together with Ruto, walked down memory lane since their friendship blossomed in 1992 and weathered the political storm over three decades now.
