Wednesday, April 24, 2024 -President William Ruto has finally bowed to pressure from Kenyans over the current dire situation of flooded city.
Following increased outrage from city dwellers today Wednesday April 24, Ruto has revealed his directives concerning the floods.
“This morning I engaged leaders in counties and regions affected by the ongoing heavy rains,” stated Ruto.
Consequently, the head of State has directed the ministries of Interior and EAC, Arid and Semi-Arid Lands and Regional Development, and the National Youth Service to immediately respond to the situation around the country.
He noted further that his teams will immediately step up multi-agency response efforts to save those living in flood prone spots.
Many families around Nairobi today Wednesday April 24, found themselves displaced by floods as rivers and bridges burst open following the Tuesday heavy downpour.
