Ruto Flies out for Emergency Meeting

Saturday, February 4, 2023 –President William Ruto is out of the country for an important meeting dubbed Summit on Worsening Security Situation in Democratic Republic of Congo DRC.

Ruto went to join up with several East African Community EAC Heads of State in Bunjumbura City to try and find a lasting solution on the now worsening situation in DRC.

“It will be evaluating the security situation in the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo,” Ruto’s communication clarified.

And on arrival in Bunjumbura, the head of State noted that it would be good for the neighboring countries to learn the importance of preaching peace.

“The moment is long overdue for the international community to most vigilantly audit industrial supply chains and make sure that global production and consumption honour Congolese resource sovereignty and do not profit out of conflict and human suffering,” Ruto warned.

A concerned Ruto seized the opportunity to challenge all East African nations to bring sanity in DRC Congo as fast as possible.

Leaders expected in the meeting are Presidents Samia Suluhu (Tanzania), Félix Tshisekedi (Democratic Republic of the Congo), Salva Kiir (South Sudan), Paul Kagame (Rwanda), Yoweri Museveni (Uganda), and the host Évariste Ndayishimiye (the President of Burundi).
