Ruto also appointed Assisting Counsel in the commission to be Vivian Janet Nyambeki and Bahati Mwamuye, who will provide legal advice to the Commission of Inquiry as the exercise takes shape.
The head of State lamented that Shakahola Massacre was unfair to many families that lost loved ones in Kilifi County under the guise of religion.
He asked those mandated with the exercise to do justice and deliver credible findings to him so that action could be taken.
He directed the Lessit-led team to inquire into the death, torture, and inhumane, degrading treatment of members and other persons linked to the Good News International Church located in Kilifi County.
Founder of the questionable cult church, Paul Mackenzie, is still in police custody even as New Life Prayer Centre and Church owner Ezekiel Odero was freed yesterday Thursday May 4 by Shanzu courts.
