Monday, January 11, 2021 -Deputy President William Ruto is ‘preaching water but drinking Wine’.
From what we can see happen in his Tangatanga wing and especially when picking those he wants to contest in the by-elections across the country, Ruto is still interested in the elite class to run for various seats. Not even in a single incidence have we seen him hand over a nomination certificate to a poor random youth from the crowd.
In Matungu Constituency for example, he started by supporting someone by the name of Alex Kanya whom everyone knows is an able person with his job and who cannot fit in the struggling class, same to Kabuchai Constituency where he has picked on a non–hustler member of the society – Mr. Evans Kakai.
And just after unveiling a new party dubbed United Democratic Alliance Party UDA, Dr. Ruto made another grievous mistake by directly nominating Bishop Margret Wanjiru for a stab at city gubernatorial race triggering a huge public uproar among the electorates.
As if it means nothing, the DP is already drumming up support for the Jesus is Alive Church founder who is also upbeat of winning the seat against Jubilee Party’s Dennis Waweru who stands a high chance of passing the primaries test against the rest of Jubilee members.
Wanjiru has since expressed excessive confidence that with the help of ex-Governor Mike Sonko, she will carry the day.
“Leo imekuwa siku njema sana, nimeweza kupata certificate yangu ya nomination pamoja na kuzindua chama chetu cha UDA ambayo itasaidia watu wengi kuinuka kisiasa. Tunamshukuru Mungu, tunajua kuna makesi kortini lakini tunatarajia Mungu atatupatia ushindi. Na nataka kuwaambia watu wa Nairobi musife moyo, hii ushindi ni wetu,” she said.
Pundits, on the other hand, have reasoned that this trend where Ruto seems to be ‘preaching water and drinking wine’ could soon backfire into his own face shall the Hustlers whom he purports to represent realize this flat daytime lie.
