Ruto Invites Kalonzo for 2027 Election Contest

Sunday, October 8, 2023 -President William Ruto has invited Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka for the 2027 general election contest.

Addressing masses in Homa Bay County on Sunday October 7, where he has pitched camp for a series of development projects, the head of State indicated that the opposition was mulling over fronting Kalonzo in 2027 since Odinga may be tired by that time.

He, instead, demanded a share of reciprocity from the opposition leader saying he had voted for Raila who has never returned any favour.

“I am asking my elder brother Raila for only one favour. Kindly help me ask him for his vote in 2027,” President Ruto stated.

And speaking about Kalonzo Musyoka’s candidature in 2027, the head of State said he will have a field day dealing with the Wiper Party leader.

“You know next I will be running against Kalonzo Musyoka; and looking at me, can Kalonzo really manage this race?” he said as supporters cheered him on.

Ruto is currently in the Nyanza Region, an opposition bedrock, where he is on a charm offensive tour.

He assured locals that his government will not marginalize them based on their voting pattern and history.

“Let nobody tell you about shareholding in my governmnet, we all pay taxes and this governmnet belongs to everybody,” Ruto announced.

He was accompanied by leaders from the Region most of who are in the Orange Democratic Movement ODM Party.

Among them Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga, Siaya Governor James Orengo, Kisumu Governor Anyang’ Nyong’o, Kiusmu Senator Lawyer Tom Ojienda among several others.
