The retreat is planned to take place at the Edge Convention Centre, South C, Nairobi, according to his own confirmation.
“During the two-day National Executive Retreat at the Edge Convention Centre, South C, Nairobi.
“The continuous appraisal of our work-in-progress will help us fix our shortfalls and accelerate our successes,” Ruto stated.
Dr. Ruto added that the quest for new ideas, approaches and constant improvement will enrich his governance and elevate delivery of the commitments his Administration had made to the people during campaigns.
“Evaluation and consultation are essential to the success of the Bottom-up Economic Transformation Agenda,” noted President Ruto.
However, the retreat announcement was met by varied reactions form members of the public who wondered what the meetings are meant for when the country’s economy was not doing well.
“Retreat kibao .. pale kwa service delivery is where lines are drawn. Blaming former government for roof leakage,” Jomba argued in comments section.
Another one, Devan, said what achievements was the government reflecting on when it had failed in many fronts.
“You are having a retreat to reflect what your administration has done for the last year in office yet you know there is no solid evidence to brag. Just another meeting to squander the taxpayers’ money. Uuuuumbwa!” Devan wrote.
PK King said:
“We expect a disciplined, efficient, competent and accountable executive after the retreat. We also expect unity of purpose”.
