President William Ruto has, today Thursday, made Kipchumba Murkomen Interior Cabinet Secretary and reappointed Ababu Namwamba as the Permanent Representative of Kenya to the United Nations Environmental Programme (UNEP) in Nairobi.
Ruto also appointed former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo to the position of Cabinet Secretary in the Ministry of Information, Communication and the Digital Economy.
Former Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe, who served in Uhuru Kenyatta’s administration, is about to make a comeback into the government after he was nominated for the position of Cabinet Secretary for the Ministry for Agriculture and Livestock Development.
“In accordance with Article 152 (2) of the constitution his excellency the President has nominated the following persons for appointments as Cabinet secretaries Mutahi Kagwe and William Kabogo,” the statement partly read.
Another winner in Ruto’s Cabinet shake-up was former Nakuru Governor Lee Kinyanjui who was nominated to fill the position of Cabinet Secretary in the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry.
