Saturday, February 11, 2023 –President William Ruto has offered Prof George Magoha’s sister a State job. Cabinet Secretary for Education Ezekiel Machogu has revealed.
Addressing mourners in Magoha’s burial service held in Siaya County on Saturday February 11 afternoon, Machogu disclosed to the public that Magoha had requested a job for his sister.
And in that regard, Machogu said he shared this prayer with the president who quickly agreed to find an office for the sister.
The Education CS, however, did not divulge much on the kind of job Ruto was preparing to give the lady.
“When Magoha was alive, he requested me to ensure the government considers his sister for a position.
“And I want to inform you that the people of Gem that when I discussed with the President he agreed the request of Magoha and that sister is going to work in the government of Kenya,” he added.
Magoha’s has three siblings who are Mary Magdalene Owuor, Pauline Anyango Dola, and Joseph Magoha.
Machogu said, securing a job for the late Magoha’s sister is a sign of reciprocity after Magoha also gave his son Paul Machogu a job during his tenure at the Ministry of Education. Machogu’s son was Magoha’s aide for about four years.
“Professor Magoha walked with that young man for three and a half years. Every place he went to, he was with Machogu junior. As a father, he imparted the necessary Christian values to that young man.
“It is from there that the two families became friends,” Machogu added.
CS Machogu, therefore, promised to return these favours to Magoha’s family and to cement the relationship they have had for a long time.
