Ruto Playing Opposition Role Well – Poll

Wednesday, December 15, 2021 – An opinion poll has established that Kenyans are happy with Deputy President William Ruto in the opposition.

The pollster, Trends and Insights fort Africa TIFA, researched on the activities surrounding the DP and findings were that DP Ruto could make a very effective and vibrant opposition leader after Raila takes power in 2022.

In the poll, Ruto seemed to have dislodged Raila from the position as only 24 percent of the respondent’s still thought Odinga was the best opposition leader.

The polls also indicated that 40 percent of the respondents still want ODM Party in the opposition while only 14 percent picked on United Democratic Alliance UDA party.

Ruto’s UDA Party however emerged top in popularity with 30 percent support ahead of the next general elections scheduled 8 months away.

On the other hand, the shaky Jubilee Party seemed to be dwindling in its popularity index by day  with a drop to 5 percent from 8.

Kenyans now believe Raila’s role in opposition had run out owing to the fact that his handshake with Mr Kenyatta had melted his once vibrant check on the ruling regime.

Surrounding Nairobi politics, Senator Johnston Sakaja seemed to be taking a lead with 30 percent support for the gubernatorial race as Esther Passaris took second position. This however did not consider those who may come to join the race later.
