Thursday, June 16, 2022 –Deputy President William Ruto now wants Azimio la Umoja-OKA leader Raila Odinga to table evidence on his academic qualifications.
Ruto who was speaking in their Nyamira rally on Thursday June 16, urged the opposition leader to tell the country which school he went to and even show prove of any graduation.
The fire-spitting Kenya Kwanza leader also challenged Odinga to show any person he schooled with in either secondary school and university.
Ruto added a claim that, upto now, it remains unknown to many where Odinga went to school despite records indicating that he attended a Russian institution after his high school.
“Leave alone our gubernatorial candidate Johnson Sakaja. He went to school and graduated.
“It is your candidate (Raila) whose education is questionable,” he further explained.
The DP then warned that, despite all the political witch hunt against his supporters, he will still beat Odinga hands-down on August 9.
But reacting to the claims, Azimio spokesman Prof Makau Mutua noted that Ruto is a beneficiary of questionable academic documents which will soon be made public.
“DP @WilliamsRuto is MORALLY — and LEGALLY — unqualified to question the provenance of Azimio’s @RailaOdinga academic papers. We know MANY shocking things about Mr Ruto’s SUPPOSED PhD that we can bring to light. He’s better advised to shut his mouth,” Makau charged.
Raila, just like William Ruto, was recently cleared by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission IEBC to run for the top seat.
