The members fetched from both political divides have agreed to discuss this agenda so that to get a lasting solution.

They announced that, just like they involved members of the public in deliberating on leadership and governance issues, they will this time engage experts fetched from universities and organizations to help address the matter of cost of living in the country.

Speaking today on a report that will soon be tabled in Parliament, co-chairs Kalonzo Musyoka and Majority leader in the National Assembly Mr. Ichung’wah said they will be creating time from next week to have experts help find the solution on the matter that had caused a rift between Raila’s and Ruto’s side.

“Beginning early next week, we will have this discussion. It can’t be done in one sitting and that is why we want enough time to involve experts,” Ichung’wah noted.

Same sentiments echoed by Mr. Musyoka who said the issue could not be left behind and that his team was ready to confront it head-on.

Over last weekend, Azimio leader Raila Odinga threatened not to sign the recommendations from Bomas should the cost of living not be included.

The Azimio boss said that reducing the cost of living for Kenyans still remains top on the coalition’s agenda in the ongoing National Dialogue talks.

Speaking in Kitengela on Sunday, Raila said that is Azimio’s first demand in the talks, before any other thing.

“Tunaongea na hao watu lakini cha kwanza ni gharama ya maisha lazima irudi chini. Hio ni sharti number one,” he said.
