Ruto added that, with Raila Odinga, the price of unga would now be sh 300 per pack and that this was stopped by the Kenya kwanza administration which has top economist working all round the clock to save the country from such challanges.

Ruto continued promising the country that, with him, life will be made easier for every struggling citizen.

“The average price of unga is about Ksh190, if this election went otherwise, perhaps this price could be around sh 300.

“If you are not sensitive to the current situation and fail to make a point of knowing what is happening in the country then you cannot solve these challenges,” he added.

According to head of State, he has already put in place measures to make sure prices of basic commodities are lowered.

Ruto also said that, to make his plans work within a short period, he will make sure that the Galana-Kulalu project starts working for easy water supply.

Currently, most retailers are selling a two-kilogram maize flour pack at sh 200; what Ruto, before taking charge, had promised to reduce to sh 70.
