Saturday, January 13, 2024 -President William Ruto has responded to claims of demonstrations by the opposition.
Speaking in Bondeni Nakuru County where he launched affordable housing units for residents, the head State said he is working to free the country from past poor leadership that has, for long, held the country hostage.
“We don’t have time; our country has been held hostage for a long time by vested interests, incompetence, and corruption. We must for the first time, change our country together,” President Ruto said.
He said his plan to provide subsidised fertiliser to farmers has seen them generate more produce, adding that he has already put in place measures to ensure they receive the same support this year 2024.
He was speaking this barely a day after opposition leader Raila Odinga said he would, next week, give directions to his supporters in regards to the high cost of living.
