Tuesday, August 24, 2021 -The fight between President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto has entered a dangerous stage with the two now inching closer to name calling.
Just hours after the President went public on Citizen Tv on what best step Ruto should take if not satisfied with their Jubilee administration, Ruto has now fired back.
Uhuru had asked Ruto to quit government rather than to fight from within. He argued that any reasonable leader who has reached the level Ruto is today should be bold enough and do the honorable thing.
But Ruto who was in Taita Taveta on Tuesday for a burial service launched a veiled attack against his boss saying he will not resign nor relent because he has a mission to accomplish.
Ruto asserted that because of his supporters, he has no luxury to waste his time on sideshows but to set his eyes on the ball until millions of hustlers in the country get their long awaited justice.

The DP also took issue with the Building Bridges Initiative BBI which recently collapsed saying its intention was evil – to block his 2022 ambitions.
He further claimed that the Bill was formed to reward a section of elites through the back door and thanked God for its collapse.
“How will you be accountable if BBI was suggesting that we have a President who controls the legislature through the appointment of MPs into the Executive and controls the Judiciary.
“We would have an imperial presidency, let us not lie to ourselves, let us not lie to the people, BBI was dangerous,” Ruto stated.
On Monday, the president had explained that the BBI was not a document meant for him nor Raila. He clarified that the Bill was purely meant to ensure there is equity in the country i.e distribution of national cake according to population.
“I was keen on the project. Unfortunately, the court made its ruling and I believe they were highly misguided. We have politicians focusing on short-term political gains and they deviated (from the national agenda) and made BBI an issue of competition. I don’t know why,” said the President on Monday.
The head of State also sought to know which Clause in the BBI had assured the incumbent of another term or an extension of service.
