Sunday, February 27, 2022 –Deputy President William Ruto has reiterated his earlier remarks that he made Uhuru Kenyatta to be President, twice.
Addressing in Lakipia on Saturday February 26, the visibly angry Ruto who seemed to be responding to his boss’ latest attacks, reminded him that without his hand in Jubilee, the party was going no where.
He categorically pointed out instances he had to stand firm to make sure Uhuru gets to Statehouse saying all these things are on record and it was an insult for the head of State to behave like he doesn’t know what happened.
“Even if they abuse us that we are dodgy. We are the people who made Uhuru the President of Kenya. You should respect us,” Ruto responded.
The second in command also took issue with the president who had accused him of distributing looted resources in campaigns.
Kenyatta argued that the church leaders had let down the pulpit for sharing looted money from rogue politicians.
“A section of church leaders have been compromised by huge donations donated by corrupt leaders, I want to say that you should know that it is wrong to lie through the bible and you are heading to Jahannam,” he said in an apparent reference to his deputy.
“The money you are receiving is the same money that was to build dams in Elgeyo Marakwet so that God’s children can get water,” Uhuru stated during his Wednesday February 23 Sagana Lodge function.
But Ruto, in sharp rejoinder, said without carrying the Bible, he would not be where he is today and therefore it would be farfetched for anyone to expect him to abandon the church.
Ruto and his brigade pitched camp at Rimuruti and Mia Moja areas in Laikipia County where they all responded to Uhuru’s move to campaign for Raila Odinga.
