Ruto Rubbishes Mt. Kenya Billionaires,Turns Down Meeting

Monday October 11, 2021 -Deputy President William Ruto has rubbished the group of Mt Kenya billionaires and warned them against purporting to conduct presidential interviews in hotels.

Addressing supporters in Isiolo Town on Sunday October 10, the second in command noted that the ongoing meetings organized by the so called Mt. Kenya tycoons are illegal and have no moral authority to discuss the running of this country. He described them as inconsequential.

Dr. Ruto clarified that he will not be lured into attending boardroom meetings to discuss the succession of this nation.

“There are some people who are in hotels in Nairobi that claim you have sent them to carry out interviews on those who want to become President. Have you sent any individuals to hotels to interview Presidential hopefuls?” Ruto posed.

He wondered how a clique of a few individuals can purport to have a say over 45 million Kenyans terming it as an insult to the electorates as well as to the country’s democracy.

“As you look for the people who look after your wealth, these ordinary citizens are looking for a president who will give them jobs,” he added.
