Sunday, July 11, 2021 -Deputy President William Ruto still wants to mend fences with President Uhuru Kenyatta through the help of Uganda’s President Yoweri Museveni.
A well-placed source from Ruto’s inner circle has whispered to the media what took Ruto to Uganda last week where he was involved in the launching of a State vaccine manufacturing center. They would later retreat back to a boardroom meeting where they discussed at length a lot about Kenya reportedly urging Museveni to intervene and help bring them together with Uhuru.
The source who also spoke to Nation, revealed that DP’s main agenda to Uganda was to ask Museveni (as an old man) to speak to Uhuru so that he could change mind and abandon Raila for him.
“Being an elder statesman, maybe Uhuru can listen to him and retrace his steps,” the source stated.
On his part, Minthika Linturi – Meru Senator – also echoed same sentiments saying it was not too late for Uhuru to call back Ruto and continue with their leadership plans of this nation.

“There is nothing impossible in politics. It is about interests. The President has been so rough on us but our saving grace has been the fact that we have the people. We have no problem if he wants to reconcile with us,” Linturi stated.
Unverified reports also indicate that besides talks about President/deputy relationship, Ruto also sought President Yoweri Museveni’s blessings for the top seat and wants the Ugandan head of State to publicly announce who he will be supporting for 2022 in Kenya.
Speaking on the same, UDA Chairman Johnston Muthama said Ruto wants to have a tied relational with Museveni ahead of 2022.
“We are neighbours with Uganda. This is the Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya, the leadership of this country has invited Museveni for national events,” he stated.
Other sources also said Ruto is taking keen care of his business interests in Uganda where he has also invested a lot as his second home.
Current political realignments have Isolated Ruto for reasons better known by the political class and it seems the situation is getting worse by day as the 2022 general elections edge closer.
