Ruto to Take 10-day Break From Campaigns, to Fly out to US

Thursday, February 24, 2022 –Deputy President William Ruto will be flying out of the country for a 10-day visit to the United States US and United Kingdom UK.

Head of International Relations Ababu Nwammba made the announcement adding that the tour will see his boss Ruto meet senior officials and top policy institutes in Washington DC and London.

“In Washington, DC the Deputy President is scheduled to meet, among others, officials of the State Department and the Pentagon as well as the US Government National Security Council (NSC) Advisor.”

Ababu further disclosed that Ruto will be leaving the country on Sunday February 27 and is expected to share his take on foreign policy, democracy and governance. He will also speak about his Bottom Up economic model as envisioned in his 2022 manifesto.

The second in command will also address audience at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, the Center for Strategic and International Studies, and at the University of Arizona’s Washington Entrepreneurship Hub.

“He will also engage the Kenyan Diaspora in the UK, and pay a courtesy call on the archbishop of Canterbury, His Grace Justin Welby,” Ababu revealed.

Alongside Ruto will be Amani National Congress ANC Party leader Musalia Mudavadi both who will also meet Kenya’s diaspora.
