Friday, April 7, 2023 –A section of Kenyans on Twitter called out President William Ruto for allegedly launching same road twice

It first started with a Thursday April 6 simple tweet made on the President’s official Handle in which he was launching Ndemi-Wanjohi-Kwa Matu-Geta-Kahuruko-Ndunyu Njeru Road in Ol Kalou Nyandarua.

In the photos, the head of State flanked by his deputy Rigathi Gachagua and a section of top State officials could be seen putting on a reflector Jacket checked shirt and white cap.

Then Dep President William Ruto launching 55-Kilometre Captain-Ndemi/Wanjohi-Kwa Matu-Geta-Kahuruko-Ndunyu Njeru Road on Nov 26, 2018

“Earlier launched the tarmacking of the 55km captain- Ndemi-Wanjohi-Kwa Matu-Geta-Kahuruko-Ndunyu Njeru and addressed wananchi at the Ndunyu Njeru trading centre at Ol Kalou town,” Ruto’s Thursday, April 6, 2023 tweet read.

But quickly, keen Kenyans shared a tweet he made in November 2018 showing him launch the same Nyandarua road.

In this old post of 2018, Ruto – by then deputy president – is seen wearing a navy-blue suit and is in the company of other leaders.

“During the launch of construction works of the 55km Captain- Ndemi-Wanjohi-Kwa Matu-Geta-Kahuruko-Ndunyu Njeru and Access to Karima Girls High School Roads at Captain and Opening of Ol Kalou CDF office, Ol Kalou Nyandarua county,” Ruto’s November 16, 2018 tweet read.

Social media users have since taken to Twitter to react to the developments even as some wondered how one project can be launched more than two times by the commander-in-chief.
