Ruto turn tables against ODM terming them the current graft Lords

Deputy President William Ruto is now among the top leaders who have come out to lash at ODM Party for their latest controversial statement on the saga that has allegedly seen billions looted in form of supplies.

In his Sunday August 23 evening statement, the DP turned tables against the opposition party saying they were the new Lords of Corruption in the country insisting that, just like he had prophesized, the handshake had a hidden agenda in it.

“The pretentious (former) Opposition, now turned Lords of corruption, attempted defense of the Covid-19 grand larceny is NOT shocking. It confirms the worst of Kenyan’s fears that their side of handshake was never interested in the people’s good but opportunity to loot. What a shame,” he stated through his statement.

Immediately Ruto had issued the scathing attack at ODM, its Secretary General Edwin Sifuna surfaced again clarifying that their party only asked for audit of the happenings at KEMSA and it should not be construed to mean they were in defense of any theft of public funds.

“We asked for an Audit. In which language is that a defense of theft? It is the hope of the actual thieves to disappear in the fog of the manufactured “outrage”.

“The worst of Kenyans fear is you being in charge for we will lack words to describe the plunder that will ensue,” responded Mr. Sifuna.

Mr. Sifuna went ahead to slam the DP saying the second in command was bitter that he was not part of those looting.

He asked the DP to measure his utterances since he was the only known corrupt leader in the country who always thinks that public money must be stolen.

“This statement suggests that it is okay for the funds to be stolen if he is not to blame, or even more unsettling, it expresses the jealousy of being left out of the gravy train. Even more unsettling [is that his remarks] express the jealousy of being left out of the gravy train,” noted Sifuna.

He asked Ruto to instead rise up and help his boss Uhuru Kenyatta run the government well so as to safeguard public funds if he thinks there was something going wrong.

Weighing on the same matter, ANC Party leader Musalia Mudavadi has called for an Inquest Commission to help unravel who was behind the looting at KEMSA.
